Stay Focused on the Lord

One day, one of my friends shared her problems to me. She told me what she felt, a sense of disappointment, hurt to her Family, and all the problems in her life. She said, she want to stopped her college because she was getting tired with her problems.

She said, “I was getting tired with all these problems, it seems I no longer want to recognize them as a family, because they’ve let me.”

When I heard about her problems, I know what she felt at the time. For me, it’s not a small problems, it’s a serious problems. But I tried to encourage her and told her.

Me:  “If you stopped your college, it will not solve the problems even made a new problems in your life.”

My firends : “But I don’t know what should i do.”

Me: “When you don’t know what should you do. One thing that you can do everywhere and everytime, PRAY! Just pray! When you felt hurt and unable to face your problems, you need to pray to God. Believe me, God never give problems that exceed our strength ’cause He will give you strength”

And I gave this Bible verse to her. “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 (NIV)

“Sometimes it’s so hard to stay focused on the Lord when we hurt so badly by people that we love (family, friends or each other). But we must always pray and know He is here with us. ‘Cause eveything happened for a reason, and everything for His glory. Keep saying “He’s here with me” over and over again. Then, suddenly, the hurt starts to lift and we will feel His comfort wrapped around us. Than the joy will fills our heart! Be strong and courageous! God always with us.” – Elizabeth Katharina S
